Wilkhahn was founded as a chair factory in Bad Münder, north Germany, in 1907. After the Second World War it became a pioneer of modern furniture design based on Bauhaus and Ulm University of Design principles. Ground-breaking innovations, enduring quality and timeless design formed the nucleus of the company's product design.

Wilkhahn specialises in office chairs and conference furniture. Developing, making and marketing these superior products worldwide have been the company’s mission until today. Because what’s more important than superbly comfortable seats when in working environment we’re spending more and more time in front of computer screens? Bene was originally established as a small cabinetmaker’s workshop in the Lower Austrian town of Waidhofen an der Ybbs and is today represented in over 40 countries across the world.
